Extend the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP)

The Children's Health Insurance Program has a proven track record of providing high-quality, cost-effective coverage for low-income children and pregnant women in working families. CHIP is a federal-state partnership that, along with Medicaid, has resulted in the highest children's health insurance coverage rate on-record. Federal funding for CHIP expired on September 30, 2017, and Congress must extend this important health insurance program for more than 6 million kids.
